The KNG-P150 CMD radio made for Calfire. This radio comes with 5000 Channels and 100 programmable quick call ID's. This radio also has a state of the art vocoder which is what encodes voice picked up by the microphone for transmission. Analog voice signal from the microphone is converted to a digital string to transmit to other radios, the radios receiving the digital string then convert the code to Analog voice to be heard out of the speaker. The vocoder also removes background noise from the voice transmissions for clear communications.
